WAR: THE ONLY (REAL) REASON
On the brink of another Mideast CON-flagration, why do our leaders lie us into war instead of simply telling us the truth? A: To save their skins while they reap the profits of yet more rack and ruin.
Sometimes, they tell the truth… most times you have to connect the dots & notice patterns.
Pattern recognition is old as time. Calibrating shadows with the relative position of the sun, Og knew to avoid the water hole around the time the saber tooth came to take its daily drink. On the brink of another Middle Eastern war, it would be nice if modern men could recognize the primrose path they’re being led down yet again, enabling themselves to break free from those well-worn ruts just in time to avoid more senseless death and ruined nations.
After a lifetime of them crying wolf to let slip the dogs of war, you’d think we’d be so familiar with their rotten pattern as to be filled with contempt and righteous indignation, and finally be able to scream as one united front, “No more!”
It was bad enough the US government couldn’t hang on to the honest and air tight system they’d forged at Bretton Woods to front their gold with dollars. Then, after Nixon cancelled the deal because the so-called representatives of the people had literally inflated the currency to such an extent that they didn’t have nearly enough gold to redeem their dollars, the federal mafioso dissembling behind the scenes had to find another commodity on which to hang the value of their worthless paper.
In 1973 Nixon asked King Faisal of Saudi Arabia to accept only US dollars in payment for his oil; in return the Commander-in-Chief guaranteed military protection to back up the United States’s end of the so-called deal.
In other words:
“Hey Faisal, those are some really nice oil rigs you got there… be a shame if any B-52s came along and flattened ‘em.”
The extortion of King Faisal, a textbook “offer he couldn’t refuse,” was extended to the other major oil producing countries in the Middle East, and thus the worthless paper was no long backed by gold but pure-dee Texas Tea and became known as the petrodollar.
Sacrosanct and inviolable, threats to the US petrodollar’s global hegemony have been violently put down with barrels of blood for oil.
Along with contempt, familiarity breeds malaise, the resigned acceptance that perpetual war is inevitable. In hopes of breaking this false narrative, I offer this historical evidence showing that the public reasons given to justify wars have all been jingoistic trash and outright lies and that, sickeningly, it’s always just been about the money.
Remember old Saddam’s WMD? Or that Muhammar Gaddafi was a real bad guy who needed to be brutally assassinated because…well.. because of Freedom? How many decades have they been trying to take down Assad? When you connect these dots it sure seems to prove all US wars in the 21st century have been tools of terror to quell the rebellious slaves shackled to the petrodollar-protection racket forced on them by Washington, DC.
Now replace “2003” with “2023” (not to mention Libya or Ukraine, etc.) and read again…
Do you finally see the pattern? Do you get the picture? Let us bow our heads and pray we don’t get fooled again.
